1. ORDERING PROCESS
How do I upload a photo?
All you have to do is click on "Order Your Canvas" in the navigation. Here you'll be able to upload your photo to our server.
What if my photo doesn't fit the dimensions we offer?
If your photo doesn't fit the pre-existing dimensions we offer, don't worry, we will gladly accommodate the dimensions of your photo! All you have to do is send your image to email@example.com and we will let you know within 24 hours. You can request the production of custom dimensions during the ordering process, as well.
What happens if I select dimensions for a canvas that don't match the dimensions of my photo?
If this is the case, we will automatically suggest the dimensions that best suit your photo. Please consider this, as your picture will have to be trimmed to accommodate the canvas.
Why can I only choose certain dimensions after uploading my photo?
After uploading your photo to our server, our backend system is checking which dimensions are most suitable for your photo. The crucial factor for this purpose is the resolution of your photo, so that we can guarantee you a high-quality result. In order to choose bigger dimensions, you might have to upload a file with a higher resolution.
Can I have several copies of my picture made?
You can have an unlimited number of prints made; in different dimensions if you would like. After uploading your photo you’re free to choose the number of prints and dimensions.
What is the best picture resolution to use for a photo canvas?
To receive the best results possible, the resolution of your photo should be no less than 4 megapixels. For example, if you upload a 2 megapixel photo, we're still able to process your order, but with smaller canvas dimensions, as to maintain the best quality product.
Which file format fits for the production?
We are only able to use JPG files, when producing a photo canvas. Please make sure your file is a JPG before uploading.
After uploading my picture I receive an "invalid format" message. Why?
There are two reasons for that you would receive an invalid format message:
1. Your uploaded file is not a JPG file. Please, make sure your file is in the JPG format before uploading.
2. The filename of your photo contains unusable punctuation such as commas, apostrophes, etc. All you have to do is rename your file before uploading, so that it does not include the improper punctuation.
What happens to my personal information?
We use your personal information for order and delivery clearing reasons only. Your information is NOT relayed to a third party.
Does Bestcanvas.com offer wholesale discounts?
Yes, we do! We offer wholesale pricing starting at a minimum quantity of 20 canvases. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you charge a set-up fee?
No, there are no set-up fees.
2. YOUR ARTWORK
What are Bestcanvas.com photo canvases made from?
The canvas is made from cotton in large part because it allows brilliant color and printing quality, as well as long durability. For the stretcher frame we use exclusively high-quality fir-tree wood, which is especially finished.
What printing technology is used?
We use only the most modern and efficient printing technology on our canvases, based on the Giclee printing procedure. This innovative high resolution printing technique results in durable and spectacular looking prints of the highest quality.
We print solely with top-notch inks, to achieve brilliant and true colors. Due to their high level of UV resistance, our canvas prints retain their beautiful colors for up to 75 years.
How is the canvas affixed on the frame?
The Canvas is secured on the stretcher frame and clamped on the back. Thus the canvas is drawn over the edges, so that the picture can be hung without framing.
How is the quality of print?
The printing quality is as good as it gets. Your photo is printed on a high-quality art canvas with top-notch, durable ink. This leads to brilliant colors and enables the reproduction of finest details of your photo.
What is the thickness of the Bestcanvas.com frames?
Our standard frame is 0.75 inches thick, but you can upgrade to a XXL frame (which is 1.5 inches thick) for an additional charge! Prices vary depending on the sizes and formats of the canvases.
What type of enhancements or effects does Bestcanvas.com offer for my photo?
There are five different options for you to choose from: stylish black and white, antique sepia colors, an Andy Warhol style pop look, a hand-drawn look, our new oil-painting effect and a special 4-in-1 option!
Will the gallery wrap distort or alter my photo?
Not at all. Our gallery-wrapping technique is designed to provied a high-quality, art gallery look, while mainting the original integritiy of your photo.
3. OUR SHIPPING
What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs for the first article, packaging included $14,90. Every further article is free of shipping costs. Delivery to Hawaii costs $39,90. Also there is UPS Express 2-day shipping for $39.99 available.
Which service provider can expect to deliver my order?
We always ship using UPS service - Ground and Express.
Does cargo insurance exist?
Yes, every product we ship out is insured throughout transit by UPS. That means any product damaged during transport can be replaced.
How long does it take to receive my photo canvas after I've placed an order?
After receiving your payment it usually takes 5-7 days to produce and to deliver your picture. If you would like a faster service please choose UPS Express 2-day shipping option while ordering.
Please notice that shipping might take longer than our average time during Christmas season. Also please be aware that we can only guarantee an in time Christmas delivery for all orders until December 15th.
What should I do in case of damages in transit?
If your photo canvas has been damaged in transit, despite our carefully secured packaging, you should document the damage with a digital camera and contact email@example.com within 24 hours. Please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can replace the damaged canvas in a timely fashion.
I want send my photo canvas directly to friends and family. If the shipping address differs from my billing address is this possible?
Of course it is. At the when completing your order, you can enter the shipping and billing addresses accordingly.
